The Playmaker - A Cricketer Turned Team Owner
Sajjad’s entrepreneurial credentials have led him to a new role – the owner of the Thrissur Titans, one of the premier teams that is all set to blaze a trail in the upcoming Kerala Cricket League (KCL). A former cricketer himself, Sajjad had played A division league cricket in Trivandrum from the year 1989 and also played for different clubs. He is an active player for the Veterans & Cricketers’ Association of Kerala (VCAK) and has been passionate about cricket since he was eight.

It is this passion and drive to give back to the cricketing fraternity of Kerala, that prompted him to buy the Thrissur Titans Franchise and enter the KCL

Aju Paulose is a top-order batter from Adimaly with a hunger for the big stage. Having represented Kerala across U-19, U-25 and university levels, his game is built on grit, timing, and self-belief. A bike lover with a bat, Vishnu Menon Ranjith is the youngest firecracker in the Titans camp. Hailing from Palakkad and fresh off a U-19 state stint, he opens the innings with fearless intent. His game mirrors his motto – It is what it is – accepting challenges head-on, with a smile and a leg-spin option up his sleeve. Expect energy, risk and a little mischief every time Vishnu walks out to bat.

If grit had a face, it might look a lot like Amal Ramesh. The Cherthala-based all-rounder brings a street smart edge to the game – equal parts off-spinner, middle-order bat and relentless team man. Vaishak Chandran from Trivandrum started playing cricket at 10 and faced numerous challenges before breaking into the senior team. He gained recognition after a stellar performance in the Club Championship and KCA President’s Cup. His T20 debut against Karnataka in Mohali, where he took 4 wickets including Mayank Agarwal and Manish Pandey, marked a turning point in his career.

Imran Ahammed

Hailing from Trivandrum, Imran Ahammed began playing cricket at 7 and rose rapidly through the ranks. By 13, he had already represented the Kerala state team, later shining at the NCA and the Buchi Babu tournament. His breakout came during the U19 Cooch Behar Trophy, where he scored 400 runs and took 16 wickets. Overcoming academic challenges and switching to open schooling, Imran continues to represent Kerala in the U23 circuit, proving his dedication to cricket every step of the way.

Akshay Manohar

Akshay Manohar’s cricket journey started when his cousin recognised his potential early and persuaded his family to support his passion. Akshay’s turning point came during a U19 state tournament, where he scored 400+ runs and claimed 35 wickets, earning him India’s No. 1 ranking among off-spinners. Playing alongside Vishnu Vinod in the KCL was another cherished milestone. Guided by talent, drive, and deep love for the game, Akshay has carved a memorable path in domestic cricket.

From the quiet lanes of Sulthan Bathery comes Ajinas K, a left-handed all-rounder who lets his game do the talking. A product of Machan’s Cricket Academy, his calm middle-order presence and sharp left-arm spin make him a dependable force. Inspired by Virat Kohli’s intensity, Ajinas is always chasing team glory. When not at nets, he unwinds with movies – probably visualizing that match-winning spell while the credits roll.

Mohamed Afsal

A seasoned cricketer with deep roots in Kerala’s cricketing circuits, Mohamed Afsal has represented the state at every junior level and was part of the U19 South Zone team. He captained the Calicut University squad in the 1990–91 season and now runs R7 Sports, a prominent sporting goods store in Angadippuram. His decades of experience and cricketing insight make him a vital force behind the Titans’ operational excellence.

An ASCA Level 1 and ACE-CPT certified trainer, Vaishak brings cutting-edge expertise in sports performance. A certified CSCS coach under NSCA, he has been associated with the High Performance Centre since 2020. Vaishak manages interns, recovery protocols, and conditioning sessions, and has trained under global experts like Prof. Ian Geffrey in Game Speed mechanics. His science-driven approach fuels the Titans’ athletic edge.

Shahid C P

From Ranji to Rajasthan Royals, and now with the Titans—Shahid C P brings elite-level bowling insight to the squad. A seasoned fast bowler and strategist, he has represented Kerala with distinction and served in high-performance roles with top-tier IPL franchises. Known for his precision-based training methods and tactical acumen, Shahid now spearheads the Titans’ bowling unit, fine-tuning every spell with experience and intent.

Ranjith Thomas v

Ranjith represented Kerala and India South Zone between 1975 and 1988. A former KCA General Manager and BCCI match referee, he has also served as a state selector across age categories.

S. Ramesh

A former Kerala captain with 56 Ranji matches to his name, S. Ramesh has held key roles including Director of Game Operations at KCA. He is also a certified BCCI match referee and an MBA-qualified engineer.

Vinan G Nair

Vinan played for Kerala in the Ranji Trophy as a wicket-keeper batsman from 2004 to 2011 and captained the Kerala University team. A certified coach with ICC and NCA credentials, he has also served on Kerala’s U-22 and senior selection panels.

Sunil Oasis

A former Kerala Ranji Trophy captain, Sunil Oasis has represented the state in both the Duleep and Deodhar Trophies. He coached Kerala’s U-19 team for three years and currently serves as a talent scout for Chennai Super Kings.

Rohit KR

Don’t be fooled by his age – Rohit KR, born in 2008, already carries the poise of a seasoned opener. A Kerala U-19 pick from Tripunithura, he blends flair and focus at the top of the order. When he’s not scoring runs, you’ll find him immersed in cricket autobiographies or gaming. Just like his idol Rohit Sharma, he believes in impact without the noise. His dream? Bringing the cup home for Thrissur, one innings at a time.

Anand S Sagar

Anand S Sagar from Alappuzha began his cricket journey at 10 and has battled adversity, including a foot injury during a district match. Despite physical setbacks, he showed tremendous spirit by returning to play through pain. His most cherished moment is sharing the field with Vishnu Vinod in the KCL.

Sibin P Girish

Sibin P Girish brings the pulse of Malappuram into the Titans’ dugout. A top and middle-order right-hander who bowls fast-medium. Sibin is all about intent and belief – on the field and off. An ardent fan of Nani’s ‘Jersey’, his mantra is simple: just believe in yourself. From blasting music in his headphones to blasting deliveries over the rope, Sibin is here to make sure Thrissur’s ‘vedikettu’ reputation holds true.

Shoun Roger

With a first-class debut already under his belt, Shoun Roger walks into the Titans squad with pedigree and purpose. A top-order bat and off-break bowler, he believes in fearless cricket and never backing down. Off the pitch, he’s a snooker buff and a gamer. Whether it’s a cue ball or a cricket ball, precision is his thing. Expect Shoun to be among the runs in the Titans’ charge this season.

Mohammed Ishaque P

Quiet but deadly with the ball, Mohammed Ishaque is a left-arm spinner from Parappanangadi who believes in the power of belief and grind. Having represented Kerala at the U-25 level, he’s trained in local circuits and sharpened his craft in silence. Off the field, he travels to reset, drawing inspiration from anime and hard-earned wisdom. On the field, he’s here for two things: to lift the trophy and be the best bowler in the league.

Arjun A K

Switching batting styles isn’t common – but then again, Arjun A K doesn’t play by the book. Originally a right-hander, he reinvented himself as a left-hand bat, bringing flair and creativity to the middle order. A wicketkeeper from Trivandrum’s Little Masters academy, Arjun is driven by process over outcome. Off the field, he’s the guy who rallies the squad with banter and Sudani from Nigeria references. Every run and every dive, he says, is for the fans.

Anand Krishnan

Anand Krishnan’s bat speaks the language of rhythm and reliability. A left-handed opener from Nilambur, he’s played in the Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy, proving himself against the best. Calm by nature and clinical with the willow, Anand is a film buff who loves Mohanlal’s iconic roles. His quiet confidence translates into match-winning knocks, and this season, he’s all set to anchor the Titans’ charge from the very first ball.

Adithya Vinod is part thinker, part striker. A left-handed all-rounder from Palarivattom, he’s known for clean hitting and deceptive medium pace. Vishnu Vinod

From his early days in Kallissery, Chengannur, to becoming a celebrated name in Indian cricket, Vishnu Vinod’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. A right-handed wicket-keeper-batter, Vishnu’s career began with Kerala in the 2014-15 season, quickly marking his presence with standout performances. Notable highlights include his unbeaten 193 in the Ranji Trophy against Madhya Pradesh and his record-breaking seventh-wicket stand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Vishnu has also had an exciting IPL journey, playing with top teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians and currently playing for Punjab Kings.

A fast bowler with fire in his stride, Nidheesh MD hails from Kanjiramattom and carries state-level experience. Known for his pace and persistence, he channels the aggression of his idol S Sreesanth. With a mindset to ‘work hard and be calm’, Nidheesh believes in process, discipline and letting the results speak for themselves.
